A guide to your options
A versatile material for panels, trays and cut lettering
Often called ACM or ACP, aluminium composite combines aluminium skins with a plastic core. It can be used flat, routed into letters and shapes, or formed into a tray with folded edges. This makes it a useful choice when several elements of a signage scheme need to share the same finish.
Materials & construction
The coloured sign-grade composite range uses board that is 3mm thick, with a 0.3mm aluminium skin on each side of an LDPE core. Other board grades differ, so the panel specification should be agreed for the finished sign rather than assumed from the name alone.
