Back-Lit Flat-Cut Letters

Give interior lettering a glow without making the face itself the light source. Back-lit flat-cut letters use rear LED tape and stand-off mounting to cast light around the outline of the design.

A guide to your options

A soft halo for interior brand walls

The letters are held away from the mounting surface on locators. LED tape on the back directs light towards the wall, creating a halo around the edges. The effect depends on the wall colour, texture and the space behind the letters.

Materials & construction

This construction combines flat-cut letters on locators with rear LED tape. Face material, thickness, lighting colour and electrical components are confirmed for the chosen design. This particular product is specified for internal use only.

Choose the finish that fits

Reception walls

A subtle illuminated outline behind your business name.

Retail interiors

Brand lettering that remains dimensional when the lights are off.

Hospitality features

An interior focal point with light around the letter edges.

Plan the details

A dark or textured wall may change the brightness and shape of the halo. Cabling and the power supply should be concealed without preventing future access. Fine strokes need review so the lighting and fixings fit behind the artwork.

Your questions, answered

Can these letters be installed outdoors?

No. This particular back-lit flat-cut product is designed for indoor use only. For exterior lighting, consider a suitable rimless or solid acrylic construction.

Does the front of the letter light up?

The intended effect is a rear halo on the wall. The face finish is selected separately.

Will the wall affect the glow?

Yes. Colour, texture and stand-off distance influence how the light appears, so a photograph of the wall is useful.
