Asset audit & baseline
Record equipment identification, condition, known concerns and priorities before the agreement begins.
Planned equipment maintenance
Norgroup offers structured 12-month service and planned-maintenance agreements for suitable commercial bakery and catering equipment. Agreements can combine scheduled inspections, fault attendance, asset reporting and controlled repair authorisation around the needs of one site or a wider estate.
Agreements are developed around the equipment, operating pattern, site condition, service history and level of support required.
Plan before production stops
Commercial bakery and catering equipment often operates for long hours under heat, moisture, flour, grease and repeated mechanical loading. Wear, contamination, loose connections, poor adjustment and developing component faults can gradually reduce reliability before a complete breakdown occurs.
A planned-maintenance agreement creates a regular structure for inspection, reporting and follow-up. It also gives Norgroup a clearer understanding of the assets, their history and the operational priorities of the site before support is required.
Agreement support
The final scope is defined in the proposal and agreement, but suitable plans can include the following elements.
Record equipment identification, condition, known concerns and priorities before the agreement begins.
Schedule inspection, testing, cleaning and adjustment tasks appropriate to the equipment and agreed scope.
Provide a defined annual level of standard-hours attendance for suitable reported equipment faults.
Record findings, completed work, developing concerns and recommendations following suitable attendances.
Identify suitable parts and repairs early so work can be prioritised and planned around operational needs.
Structure equipment information, visits and approvals across suitable multi-site customer estates.
Service levels
Exact inclusions, equipment, attendance limits and commercial terms are confirmed in the individual proposal and signed agreement.
Designed for customers seeking a defined annual fault-attendance allowance without scheduled preventative-maintenance visits.
Combines planned equipment care with a broader annual attendance allowance for operational support.
The highest structured support level for customers seeking greater attendance and labour-cost certainty.
Agreement process
Review the sites, equipment, production demands, current issues and level of support required.
Confirm identification, condition, suitability and any pre-existing concerns requiring separate action.
Select the service level, planned tasks, attendance allowance, approval controls and reporting requirements.
Arrange suitable maintenance dates around production, access and agreed shutdown requirements.
Document findings and agree the timing and authorisation of recommended repairs, parts or further work.
Use the service history and asset condition to review priorities before renewal or agreement changes.
Controlled maintenance spending
Maintenance agreements can include configurable pre-authorised spending limits so suitable minor work or parts can be completed without unnecessary delays. Limits can be agreed by fault, attendance, asset, site or the agreement as a whole.
Maintenance example: Geordie Bakers
Norgroup inspected two Porlanmaz PMCU10 prover units as part of structured equipment support. The inspections identified significant scale and corrosion within one steam system and a hairline crack in the other unit’s steam tank.
Recording the different conditions of the two assets allowed the customer to understand the immediate maintenance requirements, likely parts needs and the relative risk attached to each machine.
Maintenance email campaign
The page can support the proposed annual servicing campaign by allowing customers to request a one-off service or discuss an ongoing maintenance agreement.
Frequently asked questions
They are intended for suitable commercial bakeries, food producers, restaurants, catering operations and multi-site businesses that rely on commercial equipment and want a more structured approach to maintenance and fault support.
Yes, suitable equipment can be considered regardless of the original supplier. Norgroup may require an asset audit and can exclude or separately quote for pre-existing faults, poor-condition equipment or machines that cannot be supported reliably.
Parts, consumables and wear items are not automatically included unless the proposal expressly states otherwise. Pre-authorised spending limits can be configured to allow suitable parts or minor repairs to proceed efficiently.
The current structured agreement programme is based on standard support hours of 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, excluding applicable public holidays unless the signed agreement states otherwise.
No maintenance programme can guarantee that equipment will never fail. Planned maintenance is intended to identify developing issues, improve equipment care and create a more organised support process, but age, condition, use, environment and parts availability still affect reliability.
Yes, suitable multi-site arrangements can be developed with asset, site or agreement-level controls. Coverage, travel, attendance allocation and reporting requirements are confirmed in the proposal.
Norgroup’s structured service agreements normally run for 12 months and are governed by the applicable renewal, notice and termination terms stated in the signed agreement.
Yes. A one-off scheduled service can be requested through the Book a Service route. Following the inspection, Norgroup can discuss whether a recurring maintenance agreement would be appropriate.
