A guide to your options

Crisp lettering that gives your brand dimension

Each letter or logo element is cut from sheet material and fitted individually. The result gives your branding a physical edge and shadow without the deeper body of built-up lettering. Letters can sit close to a surface or stand away on locators for a floating appearance.

Materials & construction

Acrylic suits detailed shapes and strong colour. Aluminium composite offers a thin profile with solid-colour and selected metallic finishes. Foam PVC offers a lighter board option for panels, lettering and display work. The material choice affects the edge, depth, minimum detail and finished appearance.

Choose the finish that fits

Close mounting

Suitable tape or other agreed fixings for a low-profile result.

Stand-off locators

Raise the letters from the surface and introduce a natural shadow.

Installation templates

Paper, vinyl or cardboard positioning templates to suit the fixing method.

Plan the details

Fine strokes and narrow gaps need checking before manufacture. Router-cut composite and PVC have radiused internal corners. Acrylic generally suits smaller detail; for lettering below 100mm high, it may give a better finish than routed foam PVC. Cladding needs measurements of its raised sections so fixing positions can be planned.

Your questions, answered

Are flat-cut letters illuminated?

Standard flat-cut letters are unlit. For a rear glow indoors, see back-lit flat-cut letters; for integrated lighting, consider solid acrylic or rimless letters.

Can the fixings be hidden?

Stand-off locators sit behind the letters, but the letter strokes must be wide enough to conceal them. We check this against your artwork.

Can you fit lettering to cladding?

Yes, subject to the profile and letter layout. Photographs and accurate corrugation measurements help us position fixings on suitable raised areas.
